USE OF YOUR QUALIFICATION
A condition of coming on the Instructor’s Course is acceptance of the guidelines, laid down by the Institute’s Governors, as to the manner in which you may use any qualifications gained on personal or company stationery. You may only use the form of words as specified by the Governors which appears below.
You cannot use wording such as ‘fully qualified with BIPDT’. Strict adherence to the prescribed working is necessary. Incorrect usage will result in action being taken by the Institute.
You will have been offered the opportunity to apply to join our Membership Register and therefore the wording which you may use will depend not only upon the Grade of Certificate awarded but also upon whether or not you join the Membership Register.
Those gaining an Assistant Instructor Certificate (formerly called a Second Grade) or Instructor Certificate (formerly called a First Grade) will be offered the opportunity to apply for Affiliation to the Course Register (no letters allowed after your name).
Those who opt for Affiliation:-
Assistant Instructor (formerly called a Second Grade):
‘Affiliated to the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers having obtained a Certificate in Basic Instructional Techniques’
Instructor Certificate (formerly called a First Grade):
‘Affiliated to the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers having obtained a Certificate in Instructional Techniques’
Those who do NOT opt for Affiliation:-
Assistant Instructor (formerly called a Second Grade):
‘Attended a BIPDT Course and obtained a Certificate in Basic Instructional Techniques’
Instructor Certificate (formerly called a First Grade):
Attended a BIPDT Course and obtained a Certificate in Instructional Techniques’
Those gaining a Graduate Certificate will be offered the opportunity to apply for Associate Membership of the Course Register (ABIPDT).
Those who opt for Associate Membership (ABIPDT):-
‘Associate Member of the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers having qualified with a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Techniques and Organisation’
Those who do NOT opt for Associate Membership:-
‘Attended a BIPDT Course and obtained a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Techniques and Organisation’
Those gaining an Advance Certificate will be offered the opportunity to apply for Membership of the Course Register (MBIPDT).
Those who opt for Membership (MBIPDT):-
‘Member of the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers Qualified with an Advanced Certificate in Techniques of Instructing, Administration and Organisation’
Those who do NOT opt for Membership:-
‘Attended a BIPDT Course and obtained an Advanced Certificate in Techniques of Instructing, Administration and Organisation’
